Answers before you ask them. Everything buyers want to know about OEM / ODM contact lens manufacturing.
Understanding OEM / ODM for contact lenses.
Q / 01 What is OEM / ODM for contact lenses?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means we manufacture the contact lenses, and your company — a distributor, retailer, or brand owner — sells them under your own brand. The OEM factory focuses entirely on production quality and specifications; marketing and sales stay with you.
ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) goes one step further: we also handle the design process, helping you develop lens patterns, colors, and packaging from scratch based on your market requirements.
To offer both services well, a factory needs genuine R&D capability and a design team — not every manufacturer can do this. As an established brand contact lens manufacturer, Constar Factory helps you customize lens patterns, packaging, and company logos — everything needed to launch a private-label brand.
Q / 02 What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Most OEM/ODM factories demand large production volumes to get started.
At Constar Factory, our MOQ is significantly lower than the industry standard, allowing you to test new markets, launch private labels, or trial designs with minimal upfront volume commitments.
Q / 03 What if I can't meet the MOQ? Are there other ordering options?
If you can't meet our standard MOQ, we offer two alternative ordering methods: ready-stock and group-buy.
Ready-stock: We have 52 in-stock patterns available. Minimum order is 100 boxes (fixed packaging only). This is the fastest option for small buyers.
Group-buy: Minimum order is 1,000 lenses. Patterns are updated weekly. You can choose whether or not to include packaging — flexible for testing new designs.
Q / 04 Is there a faster way to lock in a lens pattern?
Yes — send us a physical sample of the lens pattern you want.
Our factory's core strength is replication. If you provide a sample, we can reproduce the design faster than selecting from our existing pattern catalog. This approach typically shortens the sampling timeline significantly.
How the order process works.
Q / 05 Can I order samples first?
Yes — we strongly recommend sampling first. You can test lens quality, color accuracy, and packaging options before placing any production order.
After sample approval, our team works with you to build your contact lens brand by customizing your logo and packaging design. We have an experienced brand assistant team dedicated to color contact lens clients, helping you move from concept to finished product.
Feel free to contact us to begin the sampling process.
Q / 06 I want to build my own contact lens brand — can you help?
Absolutely. Brand-building is a core part of our ODM service.
Our team walks you through each step — from initial concept and logo design to lens pattern selection, packaging artwork, compliance documentation, and final production. Whether you're launching your first brand or expanding your existing product line, we're set up to guide distributors, retailers, and entrepreneurs through the entire journey.
Q / 07 How does an OEM order get processed and paid?
Share your order quantity and packaging design references (if any) — our team confirms feasibility and provides a quote.
Payment terms are straightforward: 50% deposit to begin production, with the remaining 50% balance paid before shipment. All QC documentation is prepared in advance, so goods ship immediately upon final payment.
Q / 08 What is the full OEM / ODM production process?
Our production process runs through ten clear stages — designed so you always know what's happening at every step:
After the order is placed.
Q / 09 What is the OEM order delivery time?
30 to 60 days after payment confirmation, depending on order complexity and volume. For in-stock designs or urgent re-orders, goods can be dispatched directly from our warehouse with even shorter lead times.
We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, or sea freight — with full tracking and CE / ISO compliance documentation included.
Q / 10 What about after-sales support?
Quality concerns are handled promptly and professionally.
If a product issue arises from our side, we respond with initial feedback within 1–2 working days and complete the replacement or return process within 1 week. Our QC documentation from every batch allows us to investigate efficiently and resolve claims without long disputes.
